Since starting with the Center in 2006, Darcella has served all the roles of the VBRC including business counselor, outreach coordinator, presenter and currently Executive Director. She has over 18 years of experience in operating nonprofits, corporate communications, government and military administration and training.
A service disabled Army veteran, Darcella knows firsthand what it is to operate a small business running her own company assisting nonprofit agencies with implementing grants received and optimizing program processes and impact. She is a requested speaker on transitioning from military to civilian occupations, welfare to successful business woman, entrepreneurship, soft skills and training for impact not just activity.
Darcella is currently completing a Doctorate in Management at Webster University and is the proud mother of two college graduates off of her payroll.
Volunteer Business Consultant

Roger is the Senior Business Consultant and previously served as the Center’s first business counselor and operations director. The retired Air Force/Army Master Chief is now on his second retirement from the Center and in his current capacity maintains the company website. Roger ensures all events, webinars, seminars and outreach events are in top order. He also serves as a part-time counselor as needed and keeping the Center’s staff deployed to the best outreach opportunities for our limited budget.
Roger is highly committed to the success of the clients at the Center and does a thorough analysis of all business plans when he is called to review. He looks at it with a keen eye for detail and researches industry information carefully.
Roger holds a Masters of Science in Physical Sciences. He has two sons, two daughters in law, and three grandchildren. He was married to his late wife, and super VBRC volunteer, Sharon for over 40 years.
Chief Administrative Officer
Debbie is a former real estate broker and served as an administrator/accountant before joining the VBRC staff. She handles all the adminstrative and database functions to make the Center’s communications more efficient and effective.
Debbie lives in St. Louis county with her husband Bob and is the proud mother of son Ryan, an attorney in Washington, D.C. and daughter Katie, working in development in the St. Louis area.
Senior Business Consultant
When Damon agreed to audit a B2B class in anticipation of one day volunteering to instruct a module, he had no idea he would be thrust into the presentation portion of the course that day. He rose to the challenge and through his professionalism, character and dedication to the mission, he was asked to step in as business consultant.
Now, Lead Business Consultant, Damon brings with him a wealth of knowledge from many years of professional work.
Alan, owns VetTen Network, a small business that focuses on training and employment for veterans and military families. He works as the outreach director for the B2B entrepreneurship training programs on Scott Air Force Base, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Leavenworth and Whiteman Air Force Base.
Alan has 27 years of military experience and is currently a member of the Missouri National Guard. He joins the VBRC after three years as director of Missouri Show-Me Heroes program.
Administrative Director - A.W.E. Program Coordinator
A Seasoned Human Resources Management professional with over 15-years of experience 3 years in direct training instruction. Maggie has a reputation for strong written and oral communication skills and proven ability to handle sensitive issues constructively and confidentially. Experienced in international cultures and in highly diverse teams.
She joins us to assist in operations and lead the Accelerating Women’s Entrepreneurship project which focuses on women veterans and our military spouse small business initiatives.
